With your help, children can discover that ballet can change their lives

Our studio has a cherished dream — to give children the opportunity to discover the world of ballet: to experience live music, unlock their abilities and talents, receive a genuine artistic education and one day take the stage.

With your help, children can discover that ballet can change their lives

Our goal is for ballet, as an art form, to continue to thrive, evolve and remain accessible to children — today and for future generations.

But for the art to continue to thrive, evolve and remain accessible to new generations, a dream alone is not enough. The arts need your support.

Great institutions of the arts, such as the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam, receive significant government support and are also funded by private foundations, donations and their own revenue. In France, the Paris Opera, and in the United Kingdom, the English National Ballet, also receive government support alongside other sources of funding.

This is because art cannot exist solely as a commercial product. To ensure it continues to thrive, evolve and remain accessible to new generations, it must be supported.

By supporting our studio, you help ensure that children in our community have the opportunity to study ballet, hear live music, grow through the arts, take the stage and discover the wonderful world of ballet.

This is how culture thrives around the world. Theatres, museums, opera and ballet companies thrive thanks to a combination of their own revenue, government support, private foundations, sponsors and donations from ordinary people who care about preserving the arts and passing them on to future generations. This tradition has existed for over 1,000 years.

We, too, want to preserve this opportunity for our children.

What Can Your Contribution Achieve?

We want to make our fundraising process clear and transparent. Donations are not limited to a single donation — multiple ones per year are also very welcome.

€10A small detail in a big productionThis will help us purchase a small prop or materials for one of our productions. Every year we create two performances — one for New Year and another at the end of the academic year — and it is precisely these small details that shape the atmosphere and story of each production.

€25More opportunities for our studentsThis amount can help cover part of the costs for additional materials, props or organising a creative project for the children.

€50A stage costumeThis can help cover part of the cost of a costume or stage outfit for one of our performances. Costumes help children not just to dance, but to feel like real performers and to immerse themselves fully in the story of the performance.

€100The chance to invite a professionalThis could form part of the budget for a masterclass with a guest teacher or choreographer. For a child, meeting a new professional is an opportunity to see a different approach to dance, find inspiration and try something new.

€250A step towards a great opportunity€250 can help us cover part of the costs of our pupils taking part in a festival, competition or other dance event. Trips like these give children stage experience, new friendships and the feeling of being part of a large, new community.

from €500 per yearA personal invitation to a performanceWhen your support exceeds €500 per year, you will receive a personalised invitation to a performance by our artists. You will be able to see the results of our students’ hard work, experience the atmosphere of our studio and share this special day with us. Your support can help fund a new production, a trip to a festival, the hiring of a professional choreographer or another major project. Greater support means greater opportunities.

Art is not just what happens on stage

Behind every performance are years of training and preparation. Behind every performance are sets, costumes and hours of rehearsals. Behind every young artist are teachers, opportunities, support and belief in their abilities.

Our classes are held with live musical accompaniment; from an early age children learn to interact with music through movement. In class, children develop coordination, musicality, a sense of rhythm, good posture, discipline and concentration. They learn to work on themselves, overcome challenges, be part of a group and gradually become more self-confident.

Throughout the year we create our own performances. The children prepare for their performances, develop their characters, learn choreography and take the stage in front of an audience. For many of our students, this is one of the most important and memorable moments of the year.

Here is how your support will help us

  • create larger-scale and more interesting productions;
  • purchase costumes and props for our annual performances;
  • buy new professional equipment for classes;
  • invite choreographers and instructors to lead master classes;
  • give students the opportunity to participate in festivals and competitions in other cities;
  • create opportunities for performances on international stages;
  • develop new projects and programmes for our students;
  • continue to create a high-quality and inspiring environment for ballet classes.

Every contribution is another opportunity for a child

This isn’t just support for the studio. It’s support for a cultural space where children can learn, grow, perform, dream and gradually discover what they’re capable of.

  • The opportunity to hear live music.
  • The opportunity to step onto the stage for the first time.
  • The opportunity to meet a professional choreographer.
  • The opportunity to attend a festival.
  • The opportunity to discover the world of ballet.

We have another cherished dream

We dream of having our own spacious studio — a place designed specifically for ballet, creativity and the development of young artists. A space with plenty of room for classes and rehearsals.

Imagine a child walking into a large, bright hall where they can hone their technique, listen to live music, work on new productions and prepare for performances. A place where we can store our costumes, sets and props and gradually create even more exciting performances.

A place where children will come not just for a ballet class, but to a space that inspires them to dance, create and dream. And we have already started moving towards this dream: we want to turn our studio into a temple of art for our young artists, and we are gradually saving up to make this a reality.

With your help, children can discover that ballet can change their lives
Our goal€3,500 / €50,000

€3,500 has already been raised

Without your donation, the children won’t be able to have their own temple of art. Today, it might be a small contribution toward a costume or props for a performance. Tomorrow — new professional equipment. And over time — a space of their own where even more children can practise, grow and discover the world of ballet.

We don’t know how long it will take to make this dream a reality. But we do know that every big dream begins with a first step. And we have already taken that first step. Help us take the next one.

Together, we can create a place where ballet will thrive, evolve and be passed on to the next generation.
