Uniform

A required ballet uniform for all students — a professional look, discipline in class and correct body alignment.

Our studio has a required ballet uniform for all students. The uniform helps create a professional and consistent appearance, supports discipline during classes, and allows teachers to clearly see the students’ body alignment, placement of the arms and legs, and the quality of movement.

All uniform items are purchased from Decathlon. The required collection is Domyos.

Required

A light pink ballet leotard is a required part of the uniform. Different models of leotards are used for different age groups and levels of training.

  • Colour: light pink.
  • The model depends on the class: Le Petit Ballet or Le Ballet Intermédiaire.

Examples of the required models are shown below.

Ballet Tights

Required

Ballet tights are a required part of the uniform. The tights must be:

  • peach or light pink in colour;
  • convertible tights with openings at the feet (as shown in the photo).

The openings at the feet are required for training, as they allow teachers to observe and correct foot placement, support technical development and work on proper ballet technique.

Ballet Shoes

Required

Our studio does not use ballet slippers with a full sole (commonly known as soft slippers or children’s dance shoes). Students need specific ballet shoes suitable for ballet training.

Unlike full-sole slippers, the ballet shoes used in our studio have two separate leather or suede sole patches — one under the ball of the foot and one under the heel. This design allows students to develop correct foot articulation, practise exercises properly and build ballet technique.

Below you can see the required type of ballet shoes and an unsuitable example.
