A special studio day

Le Petit Ballet Club

A special monthly experience — usually on the last Sunday of each month.

Le Petit Ballet Club

Le Petit Ballet Club is a special monthly experience for children who want to go beyond regular ballet classes and explore the world of dance, theatre, and creativity in a deeper way. It is an opportunity for children to feel like true young artists, discover the secrets of ballet technique, experience the atmosphere of the stage and learn alongside a professional ballet dancer.

The club takes place on the last Sunday of each month. During holiday periods or due to studio events, the date may be adjusted. Parents will always be informed about any changes in advance.

With a maximum of 12 children per group, we are able to give individual attention to each child and create a warm, inspiring and supportive learning environment.

Programme

Each Le Petit Ballet Club session has its own theme, so the programme may vary. Children may take part in:

  • Secrets of ballet technique
  • Stretching & flexibility development
  • Stage presence & performance skills
  • Classical ballet training
  • Ballet classes with live piano accompaniment
  • Musicality development
  • Creative workshops
  • Themed projects and much more

Our goal is not only to develop ballet technique, but also to help children build confidence, creativity, musicality, imagination, and a deeper connection with the art of dance.

A special part of Le Petit Ballet Club is the opportunity to learn from a professional ballet dancer, discover more about the world behind the stage and experience the atmosphere of professional ballet.

Theatre experiences

One of the special projects of Le Petit Ballet Club will be group visits to ballet performances at Het Nationale Ballet in Amsterdam — one of the leading ballet companies in the Netherlands.

Before attending a performance, children will meet at the studio, where they will learn about the ballet they are going to see: the story, characters, music, composer, and the creative process behind the production. Together with the teachers, children will discover how to watch and understand a professional ballet performance.

We plan to focus especially on family-friendly productions such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and other classical ballets that allow children to discover the beauty of ballet in an engaging and inspiring way.

For these theatre visits, organised transport will be arranged from the studio to the theatre and back. Children will be accompanied throughout the trip by at least two qualified adults, including a studio teacher. Parents who prefer to bring their child independently may also meet the group directly at the theatre.

Watching ballet accompanied by a live orchestra is a unique experience that cannot be replaced by a recording. The combination of live music, the theatre atmosphere, costumes, scenery, and the artistry of professional dancers helps children develop musical awareness, imagination, emotional sensitivity, and a genuine appreciation for the performing arts.

Le Petit Ballet Club supports children on their creative journey — from their first ballet steps to their first true theatre experiences.
